The Weight We Carry
Flourishing Amid the Emotional Demands of Leadership

Leadership asks more of us emotionally than we often recognize. We encourage others when we're discouraged, offer reassurance when we're uncertain, and respond with compassion even when we're frustrated. Managing the difference between what we feel and what others expect us to express is part of the often-unseen work called emotional labor.

The Weight We Carry is a six-session coaching cohort designed to help Christian faith leaders better understand their emotions and develop practical skills for responding with greater awareness, flexibility, and intention.

Grounded in contemporary brain science and professional coaching practices, this interactive cohort combines learning, personal reflection, and practical skill development. Participants learn to recognize habitual emotional responses, understand what their emotions may be telling them, and practice new ways of responding to challenging situations.

The benefits extend beyond more effective leadership. By learning to manage emotional labor more intentionally, participants can reduce emotional exhaustion, spend less time dwelling on difficult encounters, and become more fully present with the people and activities that matter most. The goal isn't simply to lead more effectively, but to flourish in life and ministry.
