ABOUT

Meet Tom Smith

I founded Ridgeview Coaching LLC, because I find joy in helping clients move through transitions and become the greatest version of themselves. Over the course of my corporate business career and my role as a pastor, I’ve spent years specializing in guiding individuals through change. As an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, I have the tools and expertise to help you move onto the path of transformation. My experience as both a coach and a client has given me a unique perspective on the power of coaching to create space in which exciting personal transformation may occur.

I am a national coach for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a volunteer life recovery coach at GIFTS men’s shelter. I hold a Master of Divinity degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. As an author, I've written works that explore the process of change by weaving together personal experience and current neuroscience.

Whether you’re seeking support in your personal life or career, I am here to create space for transformation and empower you to become the greatest version of yourself sooner rather than later. Through individualized coaching sessions, we’ll work together to ensure that you have the support and resources necessary to thrive as you pursue your goals. Contact me today to schedule a session.

When I'm not coaching, I love being a husband and father. I enjoy skiing, cycling, RVing, kayaking, time with family, friends and our two Samoyeds, Lucy and Dwight, and cats, Winston and Koa.  Two of my favorite places to hike are Sedona’s red rocks and Flagstaff’s Walnut Canyon.

Here is my full curriculum vitae.

my life."

GUIDING VALUES

AUTHENTICITY

Tom is genuine. He is confident with what he knows and doesn’t try to fake his way through things beyond his expertise. His clients’ success comes first. If Tom feels he isn’t the best coach for a client, he’ll refer them to a colleague.

COMPASSION

Tom has personal experience navigating stress caused by significant life changes. The grace he experienced working with an authentic, compassionate coach changed his life. He offers that same life-affirming experience to others.

HOPE

Tom believes each client is a capable and complete person right now who is the expert of their life. With coaching from Tom, his clients gain new awareness of their situation and develop actionable steps to move them toward their desired goals. He believes in you.

PLAYFULNESS

Tom balances the seriousness of guiding clients though life’s transitions with a sense of humor. He treasures the privilege of walking with people through challenging times and believes that sometimes laughter really is the best medicine.

Moonlight through the trees

"A highly developed values system is like a compass. It serves as a guide to point you in the right direction when you are lost."
