A Core Competency of the International Coaching Federation is the cultivation of trust and safety within the coach-client relationship. The Coaching Agreement and accompanying Coaching Contract assists in this process by clarifying the norms, expectations, and goals for the coaching relationship. Following the Welcome to Coaching session, a signed Coaching Agreement form is needed prior to further coaching sessions.
